information, advice, and advocacy services
to the public on their civil
and social rights, entitlements and the social services that exist to support
Citizens Information Service
Community Retirement Programme 2017
“Retirement - the day you finally stop working and start living”
Co. Longford Citizens Information Service is hosting its annual 6 week Community Retirement Programme which is aimed at all those in the community who have recently retired or who are thinking of retiring. This includes, PAYE workers; farmers; homemakers; social welfare recipients; unemployed or self-employed.
The programme is designed to help you in the most practical way to prepare for, embrace and look forward to retirement. Modules include:
- Planning & Lifestyle Changes
- State Pensions & Other Entitlements
- Legal Matters & Wills
- Options in Retirement
The style of the programme is informal and conversational. There will also be an opportunity for participants to submit questions confidentially or in open forum.
This programme is free of charge and will run every Wednesday for 6 weeks commencing 20th September from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Venue: Teallach Iosa, Family Centre, St Mel’s Road, Longford.
This is a much sought after programme, and places are limited

Cross Care Migrant Project
- Cross Care Migrant Project has published a series of books aimed at helping
people who plan to relocate to Canada, Australia, the USA and the UK.
If you are planning to relocate to one of the countries mentioned
above, the books will provide basic information which will help you on your
