Legal Status: Longford Community Resources Ltd. Currently host the centre.Volunteer Centre.

Funding: The main funding for the service is contributed by the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs. In addition, Longford Community Resources Ltd. 'ring fence' an annual contribution of Local and Community Development Programme funding towards the Centre's core work.

Objectives: Longford Volunteer Centre promotes and supports voluntary activity in County Longford through promoting volunteerism and recruiting volunteers, helping groups develop policies and procedures, providing training and recognising the contribution made by volunteers.

Services: Longford Volunteer Centre provides information and advice to people interested in volunteering and to organisations looking for volunteers. We support people to look at their options around volunteering, advertise volunteering opportunities and help organisations support their volunteers.

Special Services: Longford Volunteer Centre acts as a signatory for Garda Vetting.

Training: Longford Volunteer Centre offers Volunteer Management Training to organisations wishing to recruit and maintain volunteers. We also provide information sessions on Garda Vetting.
